There was a time when Cancun was said to have only a handful of courses available to the avid golfer. This is becoming less true as the popularity of golfing in the paradise of the Mediterranean continues to grow.

Cozumel Country Club is Cancun's first golf course and was designed by Nicklaus Design Group. It took five years to be carved into the limestone and coral on the Northwest end of the island. This environmentally friendly course is one of the Riviera Maya's most challenging tests of golf.

The Hilton Cancun Beach and Golf Resort and the Cancun Golf Club at Pok-Ta-Pok are located in the Heart of Cancun's Hotel Zone.

Playa Mujeres Golf Club is in 930 acres of tropical wildlife, which is part of Playa Mujeres Resort. The resort is located just seven miles north of Cancun in Quintana Roo, Mexico. The course is situated between the Caribbean Sea and the Chachmochuc Lagoon providing golfers with spectacular views of the area.

Greg Norman has designed El Camaleon at Mayakoba Golf Club to compliment the natural landscape of tropical forest and seaside settings. While accomplishing this goal he has also maintained playability for golfers of every skill range. El Camaleon at Mayakoba Golf Club has been called "a golf course with a natural, stand-alone golfing experience unique to its own part of the world". El Camaleon Golf Course at Mayakoba hosted the first ever PGA Tour money event in Mexico, The Mayakoba Classic. This Event was held the week of Feb. 19-25, 2007. The Mayakoba Classic will be coming to the Mayakoba Golf Club once again this February 18-24, 2008.
